We have started planning activities for the 2010-2011 competition year. If you have Special Category topics you would like to see, please let us know by posting them as a response to this topic.

landscape, seascape, travel outside the lower 48 states, macro or bugs of all kinds, specific color priority like red or yellow being the key subject, architecture either exterior or interior, hdr images, geometric defined images, circles, squares. square images, graphic lines, parallel lines, huge depth of field images, shallow depth of field images, dream images[soft] on purpose or design.....

Sports: liesure/recreational - not professional - ie. fishing, soccer, water skiing, horse show, motocross, etc.
Repetitive Patterns: fences, flowers, spider web, shadows.
Perspective
Still Life with Natural Light only
Interesting Window Displays: retail, restaurants, reflections of surrounding area.
Patriotic and/or Military
People and Animals,showing special bond: FFA member with farm animal at a fair, senior citizen with a pet,
child with a pet. Emphasis on the obvious interaction/bond.
Portraits of Senior Citizens: formal or candid
Color: Purple/Mauve/Violet

I'd like to see a topic of "Close To Home" Proving that you dont have to travel hundreds of miles away to get a great shot. Maybe the limitation of within 50 miles of home would work.
